Now In its 105th year, the Ledger is delivered at no charge to 22,500 households every Wednesday and is available online anytime day or night at BALedger.com. Additional copies are mailed to subscribers outside this area of delivery.
Carefully redesigned in 2007 following an extensive research program and a series of focus group sessions, the paper's pages are filled with information readers say they want most - city government activities, local schools, churches/lifestyle, business and sports coupled with healthy helpings of general local news.
Since its first issue came off the press in 1903, the Ledger has been honored with a dazzling number of awards from the Associated Press and Oklahoma Press Association - including a Sequoyah Award from the OPA designating it the best newspaper in its classification in the state.
While these laurels are appreciated, the award its staffers cherish most is the long-time support of subscribers and advertisers.
